Policy 02 / Terms

Use Radar like a good signal.

These terms set the ground rules for using Early Career Radar. They are written for job seekers, not a room full of lawyers.

Effective October 4, 2026

The short signal

Radar helps you find and organize opportunities. Employers—not Radar—control their listings, requirements, applications, and hiring.

Agreement

These Terms of Service are an agreement between you and Early Career Radar, an independent project operated by Yu Huang. By accessing or using Radar, you agree to these terms. When you select “Agree & continue”, Radar records the policy versions and time of your acceptance. Our Privacy Policy explains how your information is processed. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the service.

You must be at least 13 years old. If you are not old enough to form a binding agreement where you live, a parent or legal guardian must agree on your behalf.

What Radar provides

Radar discovers public job listings, organizes them, links to the original employer source, and lets you save roles, track applications, keep private notes, and request alerts. When available to your account, it also organizes your résumé and uses AI to create tailored versions. Radar is not an employer, recruiter, staffing agency, school, or representative of any company shown on the site.

Radar does not provide legal, immigration, financial, career, or hiring advice and does not promise an interview, offer, response, sponsorship outcome, or employment result.

Listings and applications

Listings can change, close, contain errors, or differ from the source. Always verify deadlines, eligibility, location, compensation, sponsorship, and other requirements on the employer’s page before relying on them. An appearance on Radar is not an endorsement.

Applications happen on third-party sites under their own terms and privacy policies. Radar is not part of the employer’s selection process and is not responsible for decisions, communications, offers, scams, or losses arising from an external listing or site. Never pay someone who claims Radar guarantees access to a job.

Accounts and security

You may use core tracking features without an account. If you connect one, provide an email you are authorized to use and keep access to that email or Google account secure. You are responsible for activity under your session and should sign out on shared devices.

Do not impersonate another person, attempt to take over an account, or bypass authentication and security controls. Tell Radar through Contact or Feedback if you believe an account or session has been compromised.

Your information and feedback

You retain your rights in uploaded résumés, profile details, notes, recruiter details, feedback, and other content you submit. You give Radar a limited permission to host, process, reproduce, and transmit that content only as needed to operate, secure, and improve the service or respond to your request.

This includes checking and extracting uploaded files, organizing résumé information, and sending relevant content to Anthropic when AI processing is used. Processing and retention are described in the Privacy Policy. Upload only content you have permission to use.

You are responsible for what you enter. Do not upload confidential employer materials, government identifiers, financial details, health information, passwords, or content that violates another person’s rights. Product suggestions may be used to improve Radar without an obligation to compensate you.

AI résumé tailoring

Generated résumés are drafts for you to review. AI can make mistakes, omit information, or introduce unsupported details. Levels 1–2 are intended to preserve your source facts while cleaning or rewriting them. Levels 3–5 can add details absent from your source: skills or tools at Level 3, numerical claims at Level 4, and responsibilities or related role titles at Level 5. A higher level is not a verification that those claims are true.

You are responsible for checking the final document and removing or correcting claims you cannot truthfully make before applying. Review the content, dates, contact details, and exported layout. Radar does not submit applications for you or guarantee parsing by any employer’s software, an interview, or a job offer.

How credits work

One credit buys one successfully delivered AI-generated résumé version. A new rewrite or a different tailoring level uses another credit, including for the same job. The credit is reserved while the résumé is being generated and used when its PDF and Word files are ready. Internal repairs belong to that generation and do not use another credit.

A failed generation releases its reservation; it does not earn extra credits. If a failed run saved usable text and returned your credit, creating its first completed files uses one credit after your confirmation. If that recovery fails, the credit is released again.

Viewing history, restoring a saved version, making manual edits, and downloading PDF or Word files from an already delivered generation do not use credits. Credits are tied to your account, cannot be transferred, and are not cash. Every plan uses the same tailoring quality.

Plans and payment

The following allowances apply when tailoring is available:

  • Free: 3 lifetime credits. No card is required.
  • Plus: $10 per month for 10 monthly credits.
  • Pro: $20 per month for 30 monthly credits.
  • Subscriber top-up: $8 once for 5 extra credits.

Prices are in U.S. dollars. Stripe handles checkout and payment. Subscriptions renew automatically each month until you cancel. The checkout shows your selected price and payment terms before you confirm. Creating an account or accepting these terms does not by itself start a paid subscription or authorize a charge.

Monthly credits apply to that billing period and do not roll over. Extra credits are used after monthly credits, do not expire with the monthly period, and require an eligible paid subscription to use. Unused extra credits remain attached to your account if you later resubscribe. A payment failure can pause new generation; Billing shows how to resolve it. Saved résumé access is separate from your remaining credit allowance.

First month free

The initial offer is limited to 100 randomly selected, eligible existing accounts. Selection is based on the eligible account pool at the launch cutoff; creating an account does not guarantee this offer. If selected, your account shows the claim deadline and offer before checkout.

The offer provides 30 days free and 10 credits total, including your baseline free credits already used. It is one offer per selected account. You must choose Plus or Pro and provide a payment method. Your selected plan automatically begins charging at the end of the trial unless you cancel first. The checkout and Billing show the charge date and recurring price, and a reminder is sent before the trial ends.

Using all trial credits does not automatically charge you early. You may wait for the trial to end, cancel, or explicitly choose to start your paid plan early. Starting early ends the trial, charges the selected plan immediately, and starts a new monthly billing period and allowance. Top-ups are available on paid subscriptions, not during the trial.

Plan changes and cancellation

Upgrading a paid Plus subscription to Pro costs $10 and adds 20 credits for the current period after successful payment. Credits already used still count, and your renewal date stays the same. Pro then renews at $20 per month. The upgrade price is fixed, rather than prorated by days remaining. Downgrading from Pro to Plus takes effect at the next renewal, when the Plus price and allowance begin.

You can cancel renewal through Profile → Billing → Manage billing. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current paid period or trial, as shown in Billing. Cancel before the trial ends to avoid the first subscription charge. Optional cancellation feedback is never required to cancel. Signing out, deleting a résumé, or not using your account does not cancel a subscription.

Your saved résumés and downloads remain available after cancellation while you keep your Radar account. Unused monthly or trial credits end with their period. Account deletion is different: it removes saved data as described in the Privacy Policy.

Refunds and service problems

You may request a full refund within 7 days of a charge if none of the credits funded by that charge have been used for a delivered résumé. This applies to subscription charges and top-up purchases. Send the request through Contact or Feedback with your account email and the charge date. Refund requests are reviewed; they are not submitted automatically when you cancel.

Outside that window or after those credits are used, payments are not refundable under this policy, except where applicable law requires otherwise. Refunded or disputed payments no longer provide usable credits. Already delivered résumé files are not taken away because of a refund.

Capacity limits and provider outages may temporarily prevent generation even if credits remain. A failed generation does not consume a credit. Contact Radar if a payment succeeded but your allowance is missing, or if a service problem prevents you from using it, so the payment and delivery records can be reviewed.

Acceptable use

You may not:

  • use Radar unlawfully or to harm, harass, deceive, or exploit others;
  • interfere with the service, overload it, or evade rate limits;
  • probe for vulnerabilities or access data that is not yours;
  • introduce malware or malicious code;
  • misrepresent Radar data as an employer’s official statement; or
  • use automated access in a way that disrupts Radar or violates law.

Radar may limit or suspend access needed to protect users, data, the service, or third parties.

Alerts and communications

Alerts are optional and begin only after you choose them. They may be delayed, filtered, duplicated, or unavailable, so do not rely on an alert as the only way to learn about a deadline. You can unsubscribe from alerts at any time. Radar may still send transactional messages you request, such as sign-in codes and responses to support requests, as well as subscription, trial-end, and payment messages.

Ownership

Radar’s software, design, written material, and brand are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. Employer names, logos, listings, and linked materials belong to their respective owners. These terms do not transfer ownership of either group of work.

You may use Radar for personal job-search purposes. You may link to public pages, but may not copy the service or use its branding in a way that suggests sponsorship or affiliation.

Changes and availability

Radar may add, change, suspend, or discontinue features and may remove inaccurate, closed, unsafe, or inappropriate content. The service may be interrupted for maintenance, provider failures, security events, or reasons outside Radar’s control. When practical, material changes affecting users will be communicated on the site.

Disclaimers

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Radar is provided “as is” and “as available.” Radar disclaims implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, accuracy, and availability. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain disclaimers, so parts of this section may not apply.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Early Career Radar and its operator will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost data, opportunities, profits, or goodwill arising from the service or an external listing. Radar’s total liability for claims relating to the service will not exceed the greater of $100 or the amount you paid Radar in the 12 months before the claim.

These limits do not exclude liability that cannot lawfully be limited.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of California, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Before filing a formal claim, you and Radar agree to make a good-faith effort to resolve the issue through Contact. Nothing here prevents either side from seeking relief in small-claims court or exercising rights that cannot be waived under applicable law.

Changes and contact

Radar may update these terms as the service changes. Material updates will be posted here with a new effective date and, when appropriate, an additional notice or a request to accept the updated version. Questions can be sent through Contact on the homepage or Feedback on either job board.
