Summary of Role: The Software Engineer will help build an innovative software performance-tuning application for MIPS RISC-V microprocessors.

This early-career role contributes across the application stack, from front-end user interfaces to back-end simulation and modeling, while supporting customer onboarding, troubleshooting, and developer-focused workflows. Essential

Responsibilities

include:

  • Contribute to the design, development, testing, and maintenance of application features that address customer needs, improve workflows, and enhance the customer experience.
  • Collaborate with engineers, cross-functional teams, and customers to understand requirements and identify opportunities to improve application capabilities.
  • Apply testing, debugging, and performance-analysis techniques to improve software reliability, performance, usability, and compatibility.
  • Participate in code reviews and design discussions, contribute improvements to code quality and team practices, and support customer onboarding and troubleshooting.

  • Perform all activities in a safe and responsible manner and support all Environmental, Health, Safety & Security requirements and programs.

Required Qualifications

  • Education – Graduating with a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering, or related field from an accredited degree program.
  • Must have at least an overall 3.0 GPA and proven good academic standing.
  • Language Fluency - English (Written & Verbal)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior related internship or co-op experience.
  • Demonstrated prior leadership experience in the workplace, school projects, competitions, etc.
  • Strong interest in leveraging AI tools and emerging technologies to enhance productivity, streamline workflows, and support effective decision-making.
  • Project management skills, i.e. the ability to innovate and execute solutions that matter; the ability to navigate ambiguity.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong planning & organizational skills
  • Strong programming fundamentals and hands-on software-development experience through coursework, internships, personal projects, open-source contributions, research, or early professional work.
  • Interest in developer tools, application frameworks, desktop or web applications, data visualization, computer architecture, RISC-V, simulation, performance tuning, or low-level software systems.

#NCGProgramUS Expected Salary Range $72,000.00 - $141,700.00 The exact Salary will be determined based on qualifications, experience and location.
