Summer 2027 Production Support Analyst Intern

to support the County of San Diego Contract from June 2027 to August 2027. As a Production Support Analyst Intern students will help keep County systems running by supporting incident management, tracking SLA performance, and building dashboards and executive reports. Your analysis will give leadership visibility into service health across County operations.

Peraton is the County of San Diego's IT and telecommunications partner, supporting the technology that County departments rely on to serve more than 3 million residents, from public health and social services to public safety and libraries. As a intern/co-op on the CoSD program, you'll work alongside Peraton professionals on real projects that modernize County services, including emerging work applying AI to how software is designed, built, and delivered. Internship structure: Full-time (40 hours/week) for a 10-week summer internship.

Hybrid, based in San Diego, CA.

Required Qualifications

• US Citizenship
• HS Diploma and some advanced level training.
• You are a current undergrad or graduate student and have completed progress or pursuing a degree in Information Technology, Information Systems, Computer Science, Data Analytics, or related field
• Analytical and troubleshooting skills
• Proficiency in Excel and clear written communication

• Experience with ServiceNow or another ticketing system
• Familiarity with ITIL concepts (ITIL 4 Foundation a plus)
• Dashboard or reporting experience (Power BI, Tableau)
• Exposure to monitoring tools (CloudWatch, Splunk) or SQL

Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual’s experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
