Our vision is to transform how the world uses information to enrich life for all. Micron Technology is a world leader in innovating memory and storage solutions that accelerate the transformation of information into intelligence, inspiring the world to learn, communicate and advance faster than ever. The Test Solutions Engineering (TSE) Equipment Roadmap and Strategy Group plays a critical role in planning, qualifying, and deploying test equipment that supports Micron's global manufacturing operations.

The team partners closely with engineering, manufacturing, and supplier organizations to ensure equipment readiness aligns with technology roadmaps, enabling the delivery of innovative memory and storage solutions. As a TSE R&D Equipment Project Manager Intern, you will gain hands-on experience supporting technical equipment programs within a fast-paced semiconductor environment.

Working alongside experienced project and program leaders, you will learn project management fundamentals while coordinating schedules, tracking milestones, facilitating cross-functional collaboration, and supporting equipment deployment activities. As the internship progresses, you will assume ownership of a project or workstream and provide regular status updates to stakeholders and leadership.

Responsibilities

  • Support planning, scheduling, and execution of equipment qualification, deployment, and risk-mitigation activities across multiple programs while maintaining project documentation, trackers, and dashboards.
  • Coordinate recurring cross-functional meetings with engineering, manufacturing, and supplier partners; track action items, decisions, risks, and issue resolution to support program objectives.
  • Assist with equipment build, shipment, installation, and deployment tracking across manufacturing sites, ensuring alignment with project milestones and schedules.
  • Collaborate with technical teams to identify dependencies, assess schedule impacts, and support risk assessment and contingency planning activities.
  • Apply Artificial Intelligence (AI) tools and reporting solutions to improve project tracking, status reporting, and program visibility.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Supply Chain, Project Management, or a related technical field, with plans to return to complete the degree following the internship.
  • Demonstrated organizational and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks, schedules, and stakeholders simultaneously.
  • Experience using Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, PowerPoint, and project-tracking tools to organize, analyze, and communicate information.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively in cross-functional team environments.
  • Ability to learn and apply structured project management concepts such as scheduling, risk tracking, status reporting, and action management.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior internship, academic project, leadership experience, or coursework involving project coordination, program management, engineering operations, or supply chain planning.
  • Interest in semiconductor manufacturing, test engineering, equipment development, or technical program management.
  • Experience creating project schedules, dashboards, reports, or performance metrics to support business decisions.
  • Ability to work effectively in a dynamic environment with changing priorities while maintaining attention to detail and follow-through.
  • Experience leveraging Artificial Intelligence (AI) or AI-assisted productivity tools to support project coordination, reporting, data analysis, or process improvement activities.
