The Role

and Impact As a System Software Engineering Graduate Intern, you will play a pivotal role in developing and enhancing software solutions that enable Intel GPUs. Your day-to-day activities will involve contributing to various layers of the software stack, from firmware and device drivers to APIs and application layers, as well as supporting tools and infrastructure for profiling, optimization, and productization.

This internship offers an exciting opportunity to work hands-on with cutting-edge technologies, directly impacting the performance and capability of Intel's GPU solutions. Business group The position is part of the Data Center Group (DCG), which drives innovation for data center products and solutions. The team works on advancing GPU and graphics software technologies to support Intel's overarching goal of delivering world-class computing performance and scalability.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and enhance software solutions for Intel GPUs across multiple layers, including firmware, device drivers, APIs, and application layers.
  • Assist in creating tools and infrastructure to optimize and productize Intel GPU and graphics/GPGPU software solutions.
  • Debug, profile, and optimize code to ensure high performance and reliability.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align software capabilities with hardware advancements and customer needs.
  • Document technical findings and share insights to support continuous development and improvement.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science or equivalent (2nd or 3rd year of studies, able to maintain student status for at least 1 year)
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as C/C++ and Python.
  • Familiarity with debugging techniques and software development tools.
  • Ability to clearly and concisely communicate technical concepts in English.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent (currently pursuing a Master's degree and able to maintain student status for at least 1 year)
  • Interest or experience in Linux development.
  • Knowledge of one or more graphics or compute APIs (e.g., Direct3D11, Direct3D12, OpenGL, Vulkan).
  • Familiarity with Visual Studio or similar development environments.
  • Demonstrated enthusiasm for learning and adapting to new technologies.

Position of Trust N/A EU Salary We offer a total compensation package that ranks among the best in the industry. The minimum Annual Salary for this job which could be performed in Poland is: 87 530,00 zł The job posting reflects the minimum base compensation for this role. Our standard internship rates are aligned with the specific job role and degree level. As part of our total compensation approach, the final offer may also include additional pay components and benefits.

Your recruiting team will provide the confirmed base salary along with any applicable total compensation elements upon employment offer delivery.
