Become a part of our diverse culture of learning, development, and mentorship as an Intern – Corporate Applications (IT) in Summer 2027. Your education is just the beginning – you’ll become an active member of our Corporate Information Technology team located in Pittsburgh, PA.
During our 12-week internship program, you’ll tackle real-world challenges through impactful assignments, and work alongside our industry changemakers. The Intern – Corporate Applications (IT) will be involved with or exposed to the following IT areas:
- Support Oracle VBCS development: configure workflow, approval routing, and UI/UX for corporate HR.
- Deploy and test Fusion AI Agents: evaluate use cases, validate outputs, and integrate AI automation into HCM Cloud workflows.
- Assist in troubleshooting IT/HR issues, supporting cross‑team problem solving using Root Cause Analysis best practices.
- Work with integrations (OIC, REST/SOAP) to test flows and document results.
- Analyze ServiceNow (SNOW) incident trends to identify recurring issues and GIS GPS delivery model improvement opportunities.
- Participate in PMO meetings to learn corporate project‑management practices and support status tracking.
- Research new Oracle features, AI capabilities, and low‑code tools, and share insights with the team.

- IT related projects that drive business value for Howmet
- Participate in the development, implementation and deployment of new systems, new information technologies, and information solutions
- Support and enhance existing systems and information technologies
- Learn the location & company’s standards, procedures, and technologies
- Engage Howmet’s global customers and user groups to gather requirements and collect feedback on delivered products
- Analysis, design, system development, and life-cycle methodologies
- Translate customer business requirements into technical solutions identifying key deliverables
- Hands-on working short term assignments with VBCS, OCI, IAM, Fusion AI Agents (Oracle Cloud Ecosystem)
- Follow departmental processes procedures and produce required documentation,
- Adhere to Howmet IT SDLC, Security, Compliance, GIS GPS Change Control and standard operating procedures
- Work independently, directly with customers, as well as work group

Qualifications
Your Education, Skills, and Experience:
- Currently enrolled in an accredited Bachelor’s degree program in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Data Science or other related IT field with an expected graduation date in Fall 2027 or Spring 2028.
- Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 or equivalent
- Demonstrated internship, work, research, or extracurricular participation
- A willingness to learn and take initiative to understand the business
- Involved with at least 1 extracurricular activity
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite
- Interns must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
Preferred Educations, Skills, and Experience:
- Previous internship in Information Technology with a global employer
- A willingness to take initiative to understand the business
- Aptitude for problem solving
- Project experience with security tools or procedures
- Previous reporting writing experience
- Ability to manage projects and working within team in a fast-paced environment
- Leadership and strong decision-making skills
Compensation
for this internship opportunity ranges between $20- $22 per hour. (Actual compensation is subject to variation due to factors such as education, experience, skillset, and/or location). A relocation stipend in the amount of $3,600 will be provided to students located 50+ miles from the physical location of the internship.
