Job Description

Our central information security and privacy team in NA is dedicated to strengthening information security and privacy governance across Bosch business in the region. Therefore, we are developing local ISP governance structures in USA, Canada, and Mexico by adapting the Bosch centrally developed data protection and information security management system to local laws and requirements by defining procedural local ISP structures for the region which are formalized in local information securitz and privacy regulations.

We are enabling the Bosch organization to comply with it by providing regional ISP awareness and training and ensuring compliance by performing local governance audits in the area of information security and privacy

Job Description

This internship takes place onsite approximately 25 hours a week, in Farmington Hills, Michigan, the headquarters of Bosch North America, in the Information Security and Data Protection Region North America organization. You will support a highly dynamic team in the functional areas of data protection compliance tracking, data reporting, and additional tasks as needed. The successful candidate will be given tasks, based on their skills and career focus. These include supporting:

  • Data Analytics & Reporting
  • Develop and maintain reporting dashboards and presentations using Power BI, Microsoft Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Consolidate and visualize regional data, synthesizing inputs from various business sectors into executive-ready management slide decks.
  • Compliance, Privacy & Training Operations
  • Manage the intake of Data Subject Access Requests (DSAR) to support regional privacy policy compliance.
  • Coordinate workshops and training sessions, alignment meetings, and managing materials.
  • Project Coordination & Tool Support
  • Conduct pre-work activities, including information gathering, task clustering, and progress tracking across project workstreams.
  • Support the rollout and development of internal collaboration platforms or DPMS and ISMS tools (e.g. Viva Engage).
  • General Administrative Support
  • Provide comprehensive administrative and operational support as needed.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Must be currently enrolled in an accredited university and at minimum pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in B.A., Management, Economics, Data Privacy or Legal or related field with at least one semester completed
  • Proficient in Microsoft 365 (Focus on Power Bi, Excel)
  • A minimum 3.0 GPA
  • Must be a minimum of 18 years of age
  • Must work at least 25 hours per week
  • Valid U.S. driver's license
  • Must be onsite in Farmington Hills, MI

Preferred Qualifications

  • Ability to effectively manage multiple concurrent tasks and distill high-level instructions into clear, prioritized action plans.
  • Previous corporate experience or coursework or in data analytics, information security, business administration or risk management.
  • Familiarity with information security, data protection, or privacy principles (ISMS, DPMS, ISO Standards, NIST or similar frameworks).
  • Practical experience applying AI/generative AI tools to enhance workflows and reporting
  • Professional proficiency in German (verbal and written) is a plus.
