Description

Session: Summer 2027 Location: Remote - United States Duration: May-August 2027 (Full-Time) About the Company DwyerOmega is a globally trusted leader in manufacturing innovative instrumentation solutions for the Process Measurement, Automation, Control and HVAC markets. With very strong brand recognition and high levels of customer loyalty, DwyerOmega has an unmatched reputation for providing customized solutions that meet and exceed customer needs.

Our team of engineering experts help our customers select technical, and often configured, product solutions for their unique applications.

What You’ll Do

DwyerOmega stores product marketing and technical files in Product Central, a SharePoint-based digital asset library, with metadata including product series and file type. An existing automation mirrors those files to AWS S3, and public URLs are built from that and served through Akamai. Today, associating those files to product models in Akeneo as assets is manual, so coverage is inconsistent and links go stale as files are replaced.

This intern will build an automation that, given a product model in Akeneo, locates the matching files in Product Central and either creates the corresponding Akeneo assets or updates existing asset links. The business will provide Akeneo API credentials, read access to Product Central and the S3 bucket, and a weekly technical check-in with the Product Central developer. Essential Job Functions

  • Document mapping rules between Product Central metadata (product series, file type) and the Akeneo asset model, including where naming and metadata conventions break down.
  • Create a working script that matches files and writes assets and link updates into Akeneo via API, validated against one product series.
  • Handoff documentation and a coverage report showing assets created and stale links repaired.
  • Trigger the automation directly from Akeneo on a product model, and extend to a second product series.

Requirements

  • Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Business/Data Analytics, Software Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience working with structured data and data cleanup, including Excel; SQL familiarity is preferred.
  • Basic programming or scripting experience in Python, JavaScript, PowerShell, or a similar language.
  • Interest in systems integrations, APIs, workflow automation, and data quality.
  • Familiarity with SharePoint, Microsoft 365/Power Automate, cloud storage, or product-information systems is a plus.
  • Able to work carefully with product identifiers, file naming conventions, metadata, and exception cases.
  • Strong written communication and process-documentation skills.
  • Able to work independently in a remote environment while collaborating with technical and business stakeholders.
