AI Group Power Delivery Pathfinding team is looking for an experienced power delivery scientist to innovate and develop state-of-the-art technologies and solutions in the area of high input voltage (e.g 48V) and high-power density DC-DC Converters to directly power the SOCs. The candidate will be part of a team that is chartered to develop and deliver high power density, high efficiency silicon integrated Voltage Regulators to benefit and differentiate our AI SOC products.

The intern will perform research explorations of new circuit architectures, design these complex mixed signal circuits on advanced Silicon processes and PCBs, do simulations/analysis to assess circuit performance and ensure functionality. The ideal candidate should exhibit these behavioral traits:

• Ability to work independently, be self-driven, energetic, and fast learner, and ability to work in ambiguous environments is necessary.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills are required.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment, contributing and collaborating to the overall success of the group and the project is required.

Minimum Qualifications

• The candidate must be enrolled in a PhD program in Electrical or Computer Engineering with background/experience in low power analog / digital mixed signal circuit design.
• Expertise in Power Electronics, DC-DC voltage converters, power control design and analysis
• 2+ yrs of experience in high voltage (48V preferred) DC-DC converter design.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in designing power delivery circuits in advanced silicon process taking from circuit to layout to silicon prototype is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with post-silicon verification methods, including testing and characterization techniques.
