Exact compensation is determined by factors such as (but not limited to) education, skills, internal equity, and experience. This position offers additional compensation in the form of short-term incentives (i.e. bonus and/or commission) and may include long-term incentives (i.e. stock awards).

Position Summary
The Associate Solution Engineer – DW Intern will provide assistance to the Data Engineering Department with initiatives focused on version control, deployment processes, and preparing data and data models for AI-enabled processes. Primary Accountabilities
- Assist with version controlling Data Engineering code to strengthen auditability and deployment processes.
- Support efforts to enable AI processes within the deployment pipeline and improve deployment processes.
- Assist with exposing data models for use by AI models.
- Gain hands-on experience with ETL development and scripting languages such as PowerShell and Python.
- Use SQL and other technical tools while supporting Data Engineering work.
- Support team items that provide opportunities to interface with other IT teams and business units.
- Participate in shadowing opportunities with the Database team and collaborate with Data Engineering team members.
- Develop an understanding of how data flows through the organization and enables downstream reporting and business decision-making.
- Learn how data quality can impact reporting and downstream processes.
- Practice translating technical requirements across upstream and downstream stakeholders.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Maintain compliance with all applicable regulations including, but not limited to, the Bank Secrecy Act (BSA).

Qualifications
Education/Experience:
- The internship will run for Summer of 2027 beginning mid-May and ending early August.
- Able to work a 40-hour work week, Monday-Friday, between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m.
- Must reside local to Effingham, IL or St. Louis, MO and report to the assigned office.
- Enrolled in a degree program with courses of study including Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Analytics, Software Development, or a related field at a college or university with at least 2 years completed.
- Coursework or experience with SQL.
- Coursework or experience with Python or a similar programming or scripting language.
- Software development coursework.
- Exposure to or interest in generative AI.
- Works well in team environment.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Teams.
- Demonstrates ability to learn and use new software and programs.
