ABOUT THE INTERNSHIP PROGRAM

The Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas Internship Program is a prestigious, cohort-based experience that attracts top talent from across the country for paid, full-time summer internships spanning majors and functional areas – from economic research and finance to Cash Services, IT, and beyond. While interns take on a specific functional role for the summer with meaningful work and opportunities to grow, the program offers much more than a single assignment.

Dedicated staff mentors help launch your career, and curated cohort programming provides broad exposure to central banking, direct access to senior leaders and industry experts, and dedicated learning and development opportunities. As part of the Federal Reserve System, you'll also build a professional network of peers that spans the nation. The program runs approximately for 10-12 weeks, beginning in mid-to-late May and concluding in August. For this specific position, you will be located in the Dallas office.

ABOUT YOUR TEAM

You'll join the S & R and Statistics IT Portfolio, a team that supports technology solutions for Supervision & Regulation functions across the Federal Reserve system. Depending on team priorities, you may support risk and controls, monitoring, automation or other compliance work. You will report to a member of the S&R IT Portfolio leadership team and be paired with a dedicated staff mentor throughout the summer.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

  • Apply classroom knowledge to real-world challenges through projects working in collaboration with Risk & Compliance Sr. Analyst
  • Contribute to projects that have meaningful impact on our organization's security posture and governance structure
  • Support projects aimed at improving IT risk management and compliance processes, working closely with product management and operational teams
  • Track and verify adherence to policies, procedures, and requirements

WHAT YOU BRING

  • Working towards an undergraduate degree in Computer Science, Finance, Risk or Compliance.
  • Current junior or senior at Undergraduate or graduate school
  • Ability to understand key business drivers; use this understanding to accomplish own work
  • Ability to solve problems in straightforward situations; analyzing possible solutions using critical thinking and judgment.
  • Effective written and verbal communication and attention to detail.

WORK HOURS

Monday – Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. (40 hours/ week). Some additional hours may be required.
