The Hardware Global Supply Management (GSM) - Silicon & Electronic Components team manages high-complexity, high-value commercial sourcing for custom Silicon (E.g. ASICs, SoCs, OSAT/packaging) and Electronic Components (E.g. Passives, Discretes, PCB, Analog/Mixed Signal, Microcontrollers).

Join us at Waymo for a fun and rewarding internship! You will:

• Perform should-cost modeling, component teardown analysis
• RFP/RFQ process documentation and template standardization; automation for feedback ingestion and analysis

You have:

• Enrolled in a BS or MS program in Supply Chain Management, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Operations Research, or related technical fields.
• Understanding of semiconductor and electronic components fabrication, packaging, passive/discrete component lifecycles, and design fundamentals.
• Proficiency in AI and automation via prompting, Python scripting, agentic automation frameworks, and workspace automation.
• Strong experience with bottom-up should-cost modeling, Total Cost of Ownership (TCO), and large-scale BOM/financial analytics in Excel/Sheets.

We prefer:

• Strong ability to collaborate with engineering/architecture teams to drive commercial supplier negotiations and financial modeling for component selection processes.
• Prior experience building prototype/NPI pipelines with validation logging and human-in-the-loop review.
• Communication skills with the ability to synthesize complex technical tradeoffs into crisp executive summaries.
• Highly capable of navigating ambiguity and operating with independence in a fast-paced environment.
