T-Mobile is synonymous with innovation–and you could be part of the team that disrupted an entire industry! We reinvented customer service, brought real 5G to the nation, and now we’re shaping the future of technology in wireless and beyond. Our work is as exciting as it is rewarding, so consider the career opportunity below as your invitation to grow with us, make big things happen with us, above all, #BEYOU with us. Together, we won’t stop! Get hands-on experience, training—and a leg up on a bright future.
T-Mobile didn’t become a leader by following the playbook. We got here by breaking it. We’re a disruptor that now plays on a higher tier, and we’re still raising the bar for millions of customers nationwide. If you want to work somewhere that sets the standard instead of matching it, this is your place. This is an 11-week paid learning experience where you’ll do real work, not busywork. You’ll build relationships with other interns and leaders across the company, and you’ll be paired with mentors who will challenge you to grow skills that matter.
We’ll give you hands-on projects with real stakes, and we expect your creativity and sharp ideas to make an immediate impact. You’ll work alongside T-Mobile employees who have your back and who still believe the best ideas can come from anyone. What It's Like: Our team is at the heart of T-Mobile’s technology infrastructure, managing and operating approximately 500 Kubernetes clusters across on-premises data centers and public cloud environments (AWS and Azure).
As a Tier 0 critical platform, our Kubernetes ecosystem serves as the backbone of T-Mobile’s IT organization, powering mission-critical applications and services that keep the business running. We focus on delivering a highly available, secure, scalable, and resilient container platform through automation, cloud-native innovation, and operational excellence. AI is embedded in how we work every day, helping us accelerate troubleshooting, streamline operations, improve efficiency, and drive smarter engineering decisions.
As an intern, you’ll have the opportunity to learn alongside experienced engineers, explore cutting-edge technologies, and contribute to a platform that operates at enterprise scale and makes a meaningful impact across T-Mobile.
What You'll Do
- As a Software Engineering Intern – Kubernetes & Containers, you’ll gain hands-on experience working with one of T-Mobile’s most critical technology platforms, supporting approximately 500 Kubernetes clusters across on-premises infrastructure, AWS, and Azure.
- You’ll collaborate with experienced platform engineers to develop AI-powered automation, intelligent monitoring, and self-healing solutions that improve platform reliability, operational efficiency, and scalability.
- Your projects may involve leveraging Generative AI, Python, Kubernetes APIs, and cloud-native technologies to simplify cluster operations, accelerate troubleshooting, and enhance observability across our enterprise infrastructure.
- You’ll have opportunities to explore real-world engineering challenges, contribute innovative ideas, and help modernize how we manage and operate Kubernetes at scale.
- Your work will make a tangible impact on T-Mobile’s Tier 0 infrastructure, helping build a smarter, more resilient, and highly automated platform that powers mission-critical IT services.
