Launch your career at the intersection of technology and investing with Vanguard’s College to Corporate (C2C) Internship Program. As an Investment Systems intern, you’ll help build and support the technology that powers Vanguard’s investment platforms - enabling better outcomes for our clients while developing leadership skills through ownership of work, cross-functional collaboration, and real-world impact.

This immersive internship blends real-world project work, mentorship, and structured development to help you grow your technical and business acumen in a collaborative, purpose-driven environment. In this internship, you will:

  • Support the development and enhancement of systems used in portfolio management, trading, and investment operations
  • Work with financial and investment data to help drive insights and decision-making
  • Partner with engineers, analysts, and investment professionals to deliver technology solutions aligned to business needs
  • Participate in Agile teams contributing to design, testing, and delivery of new features or improvements
  • Gain exposure to how technology supports Vanguard’s funds, ETFs, and investment strategies
  • Build relationships with peers, mentors, and leaders across Vanguard
  • Receive ongoing coaching and feedback to support your development

What it takes:

  • Pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field (required)
  • Interest in financial services and how technology enables investing
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with comfort working with data
  • Curiosity and willingness to learn both technical concepts and investment-related topics
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Demonstrated leadership skills and/or leadership aspirations
  • Cumulative GPA of 3.2 or higher (preferred)

  • This is a full-time, paid 10-week summer internship
