What You Will Do
This position is in the Commercial Engines Engineering, PW1500G/PW1900G (24K) Customer Technical Service team, for an Engineering Intern focused on Mechanical Systems and Nacelle hardware. Our focus is to manage and resolve technical issues for Mechanical Systems and Nacelle hardware to ensure engine safety and to maintain competitive advantage relative to operational parameters such as Delays and Cancellations (D&C’s), In-Flight-Shut-Down (IFSD) rate, reduction of maintenance burden, etc.
This assignment offers interesting and exciting insight to the engineering support of our airline customers, engine shops, and airframers. Job requires flexibility and adaptability to rapidly changing requirements and priorities, and ability to multitask across several engine disciplines, hardware, and/or across several GTF engine models and customers. This role is ideal for individuals who thrive in a fast-paced, customer-facing environment and enjoy solving complex technical challenges.
As a 24K Customer Technical Service Engineering Intern at Pratt & Whitney, you will......
- Develop Technical Data: Initiate and oversee the creation of Engine Maintenance documents, Special Instructions, Service Bulletins and other documents to support airline and shop customers.
- Collaborate Globally: Interface with commercial airline operators, MRO shops, worldwide P&W Field Service Representatives, suppliers, and airframe companies (Airbus/A220, Embraer/E190) with a focus on mainline bearings, transmission system, oil system, and nacelle hardware.
- Support Critical Operations: Receive and respond to customer technical questions to keep fleets flying and maintain MRO shop throughput.
- Interface with Industry Experts: Coordinate and collaborate with the Program Office, Customer Fleet Directors (CFDs), Component Integrated Product Teams (CIPTs), regulatory authorities, maintenance data authors, field service representatives, Customer Service Managers, suppliers, and program partners to assess, plan and implement technical and logistic fleet management solutions.

Qualifications
You Must Have
- Must be pursuing a Bachelor’s or Advanced degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering or Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) field and actively enrolled through the completion of the internship session
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and/or Outlook)
- Minimum 3.0 Cumulative GPA
Experience may be obtained through on-the-job experience, research, coursework, or projects.

- Experience working both independently and in a team environment.
- Prior RTX internship, co-op, or work experience.

This includes all production and maintenance employees, as they are essential to the development of our products.

The salary range for this role is 37,000 USD - 82,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.

Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance. This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
