The Amazon University Talent Acquisition Team is looking for ambitious students to join us as Operations Intern, working in one of our core businesses, Amazon Operations. About this internship Our internships are educational opportunities intended to allow you to discover how we operate. Our IT Support Engineers work behind the scenes to troubleshoot any issues and improve our systems, so that we can operate at our best.
Your focus will be to make sure our IT infrastructure is up to the demands of our global business. At the same time, you’ll get to work with the latest technology and learn from leaders who are creating the warehouse environments of the future. Your internship will put you at the heart of our Operations where you will be part of the journey of one of our many customer's orders. Key job responsibilities As an intern on the MEATR Operations Technology Solutions (OTS) team, you will support the team's work across the region.
Responsibilities
include:
- IT Infrastructure Support – Assist with planning, deploying, and maintaining IT systems, networks, and end-user devices across fulfillment centers and delivery stations.
- Site Launch & Onboarding – Support the IT workstream for new fulfillment center launches, including network readiness, hardware provisioning, system configuration, and go-live activities.
- Operational Technology Support – Help provide day-to-day IT support for site operations to maintain system availability and minimize downtime.
- Project & Program Coordination – Assist with coordinating IT projects across multiple sites and stakeholders, tracking milestones, and documenting progress.
- Vendor & Stakeholder Coordination – Collaborate with third-party vendors, regional teams, and internal partners to help align on global standards and regional requirements.
Available to commence an internship in Q1 2027. You should be available for 12 months, full time (40h/week) in Johannesburg. A day in the life As an intern, you will be matched to a mentor. In addition to learning about an impactful project, you will have the opportunity to engage with Amazonians for both personal and professional development, expand your network, and participate in activities with other interns throughout your internship.

Basic Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree with a graduation date of Q1 2027 or a recent 2026 graduate (within the last 6 months)
- Fluent written and verbal communication in English
- Available to complete a full time 12 month internship full time (40h/week).
